Light!

To a heartbreakingly beautiful person who is cleaner than fresh stream water; with a delicate chin, pearl-luster skin, dark brown almond eyes, and lips as sweet as desi grapes wine.

You may call it infidelity, unfaithfulness, or craziness, they call it purity, spirituality, and worship.

Seek your Lord’s help so that he blesses you with your Master’s companionship and friendship and light your heart and soul with Light.

Light will intoxicate you!

Chapter 1

You are a Sufi, a proud Sufi. You know Sufis are people who defy norms. Some may have long beards and shoulder-length hair while others love to shave their head. Some may pierce their ears while others do this with their nipples. They are wanderers, they are roaming dervish. According to the standards and customs of society, they are heathens but in reality, they are more religious than the rest of the world.

They develop a spiritual bond with their Master and can forsake everything in his name. They become happy slaves. Pain becomes painless. Bruises become loving memories. The first step I believe is to exterminate self. In addition, for their Master, they may do anything. The spiritual bond will take away the disciple’s self and make him another self of the Master. Accepting every command, bowing their head, kneeling, and giving utmost reverence to his master is the happiness of a Sufi. 

Your happiness, wish, prayer, and desire is to bow your head before the Master and kiss your Master’s feet, once before you say eternal goodbye to this worldly abode. People may call you an infidel, crackpot, cheater, or crazy but your desire is just to lose yourself in the name of your Master. This may sound stupid and nonsense. How can an educated, prudent and judicious desire this low? And you may have quarreled with my Lord several times over this, but you could not help it. A part of you is saying that you are doing nothing wrong. You kept your nerves in control when you were offered hot bodies to prove your faithfulness and love. But this desire for your Master is nothing to do with your body. It is something way beyond and incomprehensible by the tangible standards of society. It is to show how important your Master is to you, how precious he has been, what relationship has he developed with you, and what place you desire for yourself before him; in your Master’s feet. From just a liking of years before to a spiritual bond so strong it could move mountains, you have been through a lot.

I am sure, whosoever you are and whatever space of time you are reading this in, after reading this you will be able to identify your Master and will happily bow your head in front of him.

As a proof of your admiration, gratitude, and association with your Master, you will pronounce yourself his worthless slave and will remain so forever happily.
